Three months…. Time flies
Guys, you know what??
I’m in the states since 3 months. It’s so crazy.
It feels like i’m here since two weeks but on the other side I have the feeling I’m here my whole life. Finally I can say I’m adjusted to my life here.
I enjoy every day. For sure, I miss my family back in Germany, but I found my second home here, I built my second life here. During the last three months, I met so many different people, I saw tons of new places, saw the „Indian summer“.
I’m grateful for the experiences I could make up to now, grateful for the friends I made and the most important thing: Thankful for the great time in my hostfamily. They make my life here so amazing. Ireally look Forward for the next months.
I figured out how everything works here. English is not a problem anymore. When I speak with german people Inoticed I’m switching to english and they said: What the heck is going on?
What’s going on is, that I love my life here, I found a second home and everything feels like home. Nearly nothing is strange anymore.
It’s scary. I have to decide if i want tot extend or not in two or three months…
The same time left to think about it as I am here now..
That’s a strange post but I don’t care. That’s what coming out of me actually.

LCC Meeting
In the US since 8 weeks
Hi again!:)
I’ve just taken a look on my calendar and I realized I’m already in the US since exactly 8 weeks.
I love my life here. It’s so great! I have found some girls who really became good friends!
I’ve just booked my first trip. It’s only a little one but it is one. In two weeks I will go to Portland, Maine and spend three days with my italian girl. ♡
We will spend time in the city and try to see ad much as possible of the indian summer here!!
I’m in love with my hostfamily. They make my time here so great. I enjoy every day with my kids and the parents.
I already left my heart in Boston. It’s the most beautiful city in the world I’ve ever seen!
Finally I can say, I found my second home!
Ups and Downs

Morgen bin ich seit 7 Wochen in den USA. Die Zeit verging einerseits unglaublich schnell. Es kommt mir vor, als wäre ich erst vor kurzer Zeit in den Flieger gestiegen und in mein Abenteuer gestartet.
Aber wenn ich mir dann vor Augen führe, dass ich einfach schon seit fast 2Monaten in den USA bin, ist das einfach unglaublich.
Ich habe schon so viel erlebt in der Zeit, die ich hier bin.
Ich habe total viele neue Leute kennengelernt, manche von ihnen sind zu guten Freunden geworden, andere sind nun meine „Bekannten“. Jeder Tag bringt neue Erlebnisse, ich mache neue Erfahrungen. Ich mache Reisepläne, ich treffe Freunde, ich gehe zur Gym, ich verbringe Zeit mit meiner Gastfamilie.
Natürlich gibt es auch Tage, an denen man alles hinschmeißen möchte. Tage an denen man sein „altes Leben“ in Deutschland vermisst. Tage, an denen man seine Entscheidung hinterfragt. Doch dann bekommt man eine Umarmung von den Gastkindern, ein nettes Wort/ eine nette Geste von seiner Gastfamilie, ein Lächeln. Und genau in den Momenten weiß man genau, warum man sich für dieses Abenteuer entschieden hat.
Ich für mich kann sagen, dass ich mich hier selber verändert habe. Ich bin offener, selbstbewusster als zuvor. Das Englisch bereitet mir mittlerweile auch keine Probleme mehr.
Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall auf die nächsten mindestens 10 Monate hier in den USA!!

One month ago…
One month ago I started my adventure. I was very nervous at the beginning. I remember exactly how difficult it was for my family to let me go. I’ve never seen my dad crying. That was not easy at all. On the airplane I started to read the nicest goodbye present I’ve ever could get. My family created a book and every person designed a page. Some of them wrote quotes, wishes, drew pictures. And there was nothing to do.. I had to start crying at the plane. But my seat neighbors, two other aupairs were really nice and we had a nice flight together. At the trainingschool on Long Island I met many new people and especially two girls became really good friends. I’m lucky, they didn’t live so far away. So we will meet in Boston or somewhere else soon.
When I arrived at my hostfamily it was a strange feeling in the first minutes. I was nearly a stranger in their house. But they were really nice and I felt like home very soon.
And since I’m here I have to say, I’ve never was homesick so far. Thanks Internet, Skype, Facebook, Whatsapp!;)
I’ve done so many things since I’m here. It would be to much to share it with you all, but I’ll give some examples. We went to Cape Cod one day for a reallt nice beach day, we went to a water park, celebrated my hostkid’s birthday party. I met many people, was in an american disco, went to a mall, went to a gym.
Don’t forget all the adorable, funny moments I had/ have with my hostkids and every moment with my whole hostfamily!
I’m so glad, I live here! I really look forward to my next at least eleven months in the US.
Sorry an alle meine Freunde, Verwandten und Familie in Deutschland aber irgendwie ist es einfacher Einträge in Englisch zu verfassen. Aber ich werde die nächsten auch wieder in Deutsch machen 😉 So don’t worry!
Almost 3 weeks in the US, nearly 2 weeks with my hostfamily

Es ist unglaublich, ich bin jetzt schon seit fast 3 Wochen in den USA, ich habe morgen bereits zwei Wochen gearbeitet.Die Zeit verfliegt rasend schnell. Und in der kurzen Zeit hier in meiner Gastfamilie hab ich schon ziemlich viel erlebt. Ich bin das erste Mal in den USA mit einem Auto gefahren, war das erste Mal in einer Mall, in der Cheesecake Factory. Ich habe meine LCC kennengelernt, 5 andere Aupairs aus der Stadt kennengelernt.
Und natürlich nicht zu vergessen, schon unglaublich viele schöne, teilweise anstrengende Momente mit meinen Gastkindern gehabt und viele schöne und einmalige Momente mit meiner Gastfamilie erlebt, viele neue Leute kennengelernt.
Allmählich finde ich mich hier in der Stad auch zurecht, weiß wo ich was finden kann, bin in der Gym angemeldet, hab ein Bankkonto und meine SSN beantragt.
Morgen geht es mit meiner Gastfamilie und Verwandten erst einmal über das Wochenende nach Connecticut campen. Darauf freue ich mich schon! 🙂
Ich muss mich jetzt ein wenig beeilen, dass ich mich noch zum Herbstsemester an einem College einschreiben kann, am liebsten würde ich Psychologie oder Spanisch machen, mal schauen was es gibt und was auch zeitlich gut möglich ist!:)
I’m almost three weeks in the USA, two weeks in my hostfamily.The time runs out so fast. In the short period I live here I have seen so many things, do so many different things, meet many new People. I drove an american car, met my LCC and 5 other aupairs from this town and few otherswho are in my custer.I went to a mall and was at Chessecake Factor and fell in love with the Food there.
And don’t Forget the great moments, hours, days I spent with my hostkids and my hostfamily.I lfeel reaaly comfortable with all of them!
Tomorrow my hostfamily will take me to a campingtrip with some realtives in Connecticut. I’m sure it willbe a really nice Weekend with them over there.
I guess I should hurry up with find some classes at a college, so I can start there in the fall.
